Orofino is host to many events and things to do throughout the year, we don’t want you to miss out!
After New Year’s Party– Live Music, what a better way to ring in the New Year with pizza & beer.
CVHC Moonlight Ball– Live Music, Dinner & Auction, great way to spend the night out on the town.
CVHC Hospital Auxiliary Valentine Card & Pie Social-. Held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building, this Card party & Pie Social features homemade pie and coffee as well as games of pinochle, bunco, and bridge. All proceeds from the event support Clearwater Valley Hospital & Clinics.
Ducks Unlimited Annual Banquet– Annual Clearwater Valley Ducks Unlimited Event held at Best Western Lodge at Rivers Edge. Doors open at 6pm for no-host cocktails, raffles games, and silent action. Plenty of outdoor gear for sportsman. Sportsmen Event.
Little Canyon Shooting– Late March, Early April. Free bird hunting for young hunters 9-16 to expose them to the joys of upland game bird hunting.
Steelhead Spawning (March through April)- This fee spawning event is open to the public and can be viewed at the USFW National Fish Hatchery located in Ahsahka, ID.
Wild Turkey Federation Auction- Mid April. Annual Wild Turkey Federation Auction held at the Best Western Lodge at Rivers Edge featuring dinner, raffles, games and silent and live auctions.
VFW Easter Egg Hunt- Annual Veterans of Foreign Wars Easter Egg Hunt held in Orofino City Park.
Boomershoot-Late April early May. Long range high precision rifle event.
Community Clean Up & Arbor Day Celebration.
Orofino Chamber of Commerce Auction Event- A fun filled night of food, fun and chances to support the Orofino Chamber of Commerce through the purchase of auction items. Held at the Best Western Lodge at Rivers Edge in Orofino.
Kids Free Fishing Day-Co-hosted by the Dworshak Fish Hatchery and the Nez Perce Tribe, Kids Fishing Day takes place at a local stocked trout pond. Kids can catch and keep up to two trout and is free to kids 12 and under. This is a family event with hands-on activities and fun for everyone.
The Maniac “The Best Dam Race in Idaho”-A 3k/5k walk or run across Dworshak Dam. This is a rare experience for people of all ages.
Esskahpo POW Wow-Pow Wow features veteran special dance, men’s traditional dance and an owl dance special. Cultural panel discussions, memorial dinner, and giveaways. Takes place at Orofino High School.
4th of July Fireworks, BBQ & Concert in the Park- You don’t want to miss this annual celebration held at the Orofino City Park. There is a BBQ and free live music starting at 5 pm. The Chamber of Commerce supplies a beer garden for the adults to enjoy. At night the valley lights up with a huge firework display that can be seen from miles away.
Orofino LoggerXross- 2 Day Event; Enduro Cross Style Motorcycle Race that takes place in Orofino City Park/ Rodeo Grounds.
Orofino Show & Shine- An opportunity for proud enthusiasts to showcase their special cars, trucks, motorcycles and anything else with wheels and an engine. Proceeds used to provide scholarships for Clearwater County graduates who plan on future in the automotive industry. Held at Orofino City Park.
Trevor Haag Memorial Baseball Tournament- The memorial tournament hosts around 26 baseball teams from four states with over 300 registered players. It runs Friday through Sunday.
Orofino Riverbank BBQ Music Festival- August 12th, 2017. Bring the family out for a full day of Bands, BBQ & Brews Festival in the Orofino City Park. Clearwater County Fair & Lumberjack Days- Held in Orofino City Park and in conjunction with the Clearwater County Fair this event includes a parade, auction, logging show and contest, food booths, a carnival, an evening dance, ice-cream social and 4-H FFA and Open class exhibits.
Orofino Motorcycle Club-Trevor Haag Team Motorcycle Race- Set at Bald Mountain Ski Hill, this ride is for experts, old timers, amateurs and little ones. Two-man tag team event. Proceeds benefit Bald Mountain Ski Hill.
“Trick or Treat, Rockin the Street” – A fun, free Halloween event where the Orofino chamber of Commerce invites the public to wonder Orofino’s Johnson Ave. visit dozens of vendors who are giving out candy and celebrating the holiday in all of its ghoulish fun!
Annual Community Christmas Lighting in the City Park & Christmas Festival- In celebration of the holiday season Orofino’s Christmas Festival is a two-day seasonal tradition that takes place shortly after Thanksgiving each year. The celebration begins with a lighted night parade & Community Christmas Lighting in the City Park event. Including pictures with Santa. Festivities continue throughout the weekend with a host of Christmas open houses and activities.
Patchwork Bazaar & Craft Fair- Holiday arts and crafts fair held at Orofino High School.
