Orofino Builders Supply takes 1st Place in the Old- Fashioned Light Parade

On Friday December 2nd, 2016, the Orofino Community enjoyed a great start to the Christmas Season.  The Orofino Chamber of Commerce held the old-fashioned light parade (this year’s theme – Christmas in Toy Land) and Christmas in the Park.  P1FCU sponsored this year’s Christmas Festival and LCCU organized the entire parade (you girls & Ryan are truly the glue to holding the parade together so well, thank you for that!)  This year was truly extra special as Marvel Hathaway (101 years young) was our Grand Claus, we are forever grateful for your amazing spirt you bring to our community! Another shout out goes to our judges from Banner Bank & US Bank, you gals were great.

After the parade ended everyone gathered in the City Park for the Lighting Ceremony where the community enjoyed:

Christmas in the park was achieved by countless hours of hard work and dedication from Chamber Members/ Board Members & Community Members (Toby Atkinson & Family, Avista, Boyd B’s Handyman Service, Banner Bank, US Bank, LCCU, P1FCU, Wells Fargo, Up the Creek Heating and Air, Night Force Optics and Edward Jones Investments.  Thank you KLER Radio – CJ Thompson for announcing the parade this year, you did a great job!

Our biggest thank you this year goes out to the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy as they spent four weekends preparing and setting up the lights for our community to enjoy.  What an asset they are to Orofino and the surrounding communities!
