Membership Benefits

We Are Working For You!

Since 1949 the Orofino Chamber Of Commerce has been working as a nonprofit organization dedicated to our members. We are made up of over 110 businesses, individuals and organizations. When you become a chamber member, you invest in the future of the business community and ensure that the chamber keeps working toward its mission… to promote economic commerce in Orofino by advocating economic vitality, high quality of life and wise use and development of our resources for the benefit of all residents. The Chamber’s mission is achieved through the hard work and dedication of volunteers and Professional staff, working together to make our community successful. When you’re a member of the Orofino Chamber of Commerce, you’re in great company!

Membership Provides Outstanding Marketing Opportunities:

Business Promotion & Advertising: Every chamber member is listed in the Business Directory of our Chamber Website (www.orofino.com). This allows us to promote your business or organization to the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Search Engine Optimization: With each business listing we link to your website… this makes you more visible to your clients while promoting Orofino on the World Wide Web.

Your Invited To Network at Chamber Events: Meet your fellow business owners at chamber events such as Business After Hours, Chamber luncheon’s and other special events. Simply stated, people love to do business with people they know. The chamber is a unique force that allows you to be recognized through your contributions of time, talent and treasure. Compared to traditional advertising, chamber events and programs allow potential customers to know you and your business/organization on a first name basis.

You Have Your Own Personal Sales Representative: The Orofino Chamber Of Commerce Office is the front door to our community. When people want to find a business or service in town… they call us! We refer our Chamber members first, let us be your word of mouth advertising!

Let Us Help You Distribute Information: We would love to distribute your flyers, business cards, menu’s and discount offers! Your promotional materials are given to walk-in traffic, enclosed in relocation packets and displayed in our business card displays located in high traffic areas of Orofino.

We Keep You Informed: We meet the first and third Wednesday’s of the month to discuss Orofino’s current happenings and events, get reports from each of our committee’s and have a short presentation from a local representative. We are in the development stages of a Quarterly Newsletter that will keep you up to date with Orofino Community events & Chamber news.

So Many Sponsorship & Co-op Opportunities… Sponsorship opportunities are available in a variety of forms. Want to market your business at the Orofino Chamber Of Commerce Auction, the Orofino 4th of July Fireworks, The Orofino Presidents Cup or any other Chamber sponsored event? Contact us for information on how you can use these forums to promote your business. We also offer Co-op Advertising where you can access less expensive group rates in publications such as the Discover Magazine, the Clearwater Tribune and KLER radio.

We Are Your Political Advocate: We will serve as your eyes, ears and voice to local, state and federal levels of government. We are your advocate for legislation designed to help you make a profit.

Let Us Be Your Information Source: The Chamber office, located at 217 First Street, Orofino, is open Monday through Thursday 7 am to 5 pm. We have all types of promotional and information resources. Local government and business have provided us with everything from business startup kits and tax information to relocation packets, up to date maps of Orofino and Dworshak Reservoir, we even have lists of popular fishing hotspots! You name it, we have it!

Help Us Keep Orofino’s Money IN OROFINO: The Chamber office sells and redeems Chamber Cash which is a program developed to keep our local citizens shopping locally and give them a chance to find out what our businesses have to offer. In 2010 we sold $14,225 in chamber cash… that is almost $15,000 that is going to be spent locally!

We Work For You Through Our Board of Directors

We work for you! The Chamber is governed by an eleven member Board of Directors. Board members are elected by the membership to three-year terms, with three members elected each year. It is the goal of the Chamber to have members that represent as many business sectors as possible.  You Hold The Power: All members in good standing are eligible to vote in the Board of Directors election held once a year.

The Money Flows Both Ways

Our services and business promotion will bring customers to your door. The Orofino Chamber of Commerce is funded by dues paid by the membership and annual events that promote a high quality of life and beautification for all. We are both working toward a common goal… commercial, industrial and civic development. Our power is derived from a great mutual effort made by the community. As the Chamber membership grows, we are able to build a more productive and fruitful business environment as well as enhance professional opportunities. Every new business and organization that joins the Chamber means a larger network of clients, patients, and citizens who need your professional services.
