Questions to Ask Yourself

What about my other organizations?
Other organizations serve many useful purposes. The Chamber, however, is a unique force through which your business and others in the Clearwater Valley achieve a common goal commercial, industrial and civic development. Its power is derived from this great mutual effort for the good of the entire community. Remember, whenever you address the Chamber as a whole, you are addressing all service clubs, professionals, educators, elected officials and other members of the community as well.

What good could my one membership do?
Here is one opportunity to take from an organization. You share partially now in the benefits of the Chamber. Get MORE by being an active part of your community. Obviously, as the Chamber builds business, it also builds better professional opportunities. Every new firm or job means clients, patients and citizens who need your professional services.

Can I afford it?
Your membership may be one of the best investments you will ever make. The better question may be, Can I afford not to join the one local organization working to bring new dollars into my business or profession.

Will I be a full member?
Yes! You have the right to assert your ideas at every membership, task force, or committee meeting. New directors are elected every year under a set of by-laws which preclude cliques and clans. You will be offered the opportunity for involvement in many task forces and committees.

Where will I get the time to attend meetings?
Because you are so busy, the Chamber has two rewards for you. First, you need the Chamber to do the things you can't as an individual. Secondly, the Chamber's success is based on a sound program backed by manpower and money. There are many levels of involvement in the Orofino Chamber of Commerce. Even if you can't make every meeting, you lend good and important support with your annual investment.

What does the Chamber do for me?
If this question has not been answered with the information above, please contact the staff at the Chamber office or any one of the eleven Board of Director members. Your membership is an investment in the future of you business, as well as the future of your community.
